In short, the My College Coordinator advisor’s role is simple. To maximize the impact of applications, and to portray individuality and personality in everyone. We’ll start with the creation of your comprehensive academic and extracurricular profile and then utilize those documents to efficiently assist in completing excellent applications. Our experiences speaking with Admissions Counselors have taught us how to best highlight your academics, activities and honors to make your application stand out. MCC collaborates with High School Honors and AP English teachers to ensure that your essays and supplements stand out among the PILES of writing an Admission Counselor reads every day. The advisor and student will brainstorm topics, review content, edit and revise to ensure that you are utilizing the most impactful theme and use of language. The goal here is to be certain that the writing is not only grammatically perfect but well-organized and reflective of the student’s voice and personality. Please note, MCC is NOT a service that physically completes or changes applications or writes essays/supplements FOR students. Rather, topics are explored and essays objectively edited.
