With over 12 years of experience as a High School Counselor in New York and a College Administrator at numerous colleges including New York University, Ms. Pesiri spent an extensive amount of time assisting those struggling to navigate through the often confusing and frustrating college application process. Her experiences made her realize her true passion – offering individualized care, consultation and support of young adults on their path to the ideal college experience.
Ms. Pesiri earned a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1994, as well as an M. Ed. in School Counseling from the City University of New York’s Hunter College in 1998. Upon completing the College Counseling certification through UCLA Extension in 2018, she became certified as an Independent Educational Consultant, (IEC). In 2020, Ms. Pesiri gained Associate Membership in the Independent Educational Consultants Association, (IECA).
While raising two teenaged daughters herself, one of her favorite pastimes is to tour the beautiful colleges and universities our country has to offer, and to imagine the perfect student for that setting. In that spirit, she sees each student as the unique individual they are…and strives to find the perfect college fit for them.
