At My College Coordinator, our work with High School students supports the work of the School Counselor, most of whom carry caseloads of hundreds of students. Today’s School Counselor has overwhelming expectations placed upon them making it impossible to spend the hours with each student that they may require. Our goal is to oversee each student’s yearly course load, assess their school’s course offerings, and discuss their short and long term academic goals. This allows us to help the student select the right combination of academic and extracurricular endeavors to meet their individual academic and career goals. Once this path is clear to the student, a more cohesive application is often the result. Furthermore, students are far more than just a GPA or an SAT score, but choosing the right standardized tests and embarking on the right preparation can give students the opportunity to perform their personal best.
